What's happening in our classroom  

The Grade 4 students participated in a Science incursion on Tuesday about Chemical and Physical science.  The students enjoyed all the hands on activities and demonstrated their knowledge of chemical, electromagnetic, thermal, sound and motion energy through a variety of experiments and activities. 

Students had the opportunity to use electrical circuits to create sound energy and solar energy and experimented with vinegar and bi carb soda to create mini explosions.  Students also had the opportunity to use a microscope to view plankton eggshells magnified at 10,000 times the size under the microscope.  A vortex cannon was used to demonstrate wind energy. 

All the students were fully engaged in their learning and enjoyed the hands on experiments.
