Digital Resources for the Curriculum in ‘My Library’

The Science Department is celebrating National Science Week this week with the theme of Glass: More than meets the eye. It is based on the UN International Year of Glass. It will celebrate the many roles that glass plays in our lives – from phone screens to optical fibre to glassware in labs – plus investigating glass as a part of our sustainable future. The uses for and intrinsic nature of glass in science make it a suitable topic for investigation across all strands of science education.

‘My Library’ on SPACE at St. Peter’s College is able to back up the exploration of the wonderful world of Glass and many other topics and themes explored in our Curriculum. They provide excellent content-rich resources that are specially selected and organised  for student research. Many of the resources in ‘My Library’ also have the ability to be downloaded and changed to different reading levels including audio settings for reading back the text to students. Remember to link from ‘My Library’ to ’My Research’ on SPACE.
