School Council has approved some changes to the Tarneit Senior College uniform. This includes the addition of a black puffer jacket and vest with the T logo. These will be available from Rushfords Schoolwear shortly. Additional changes include the discontinuation of the sports uniform. Students may wear appropriate sports attire and runners during physical education practical classes. Headwear of school colours may be worn by students, this now includes durags to reflect the college’s support of all cultures. An updated pricelist is attached below and the School Dress Code can be found on the website.
Tarneit Senior College policy promotes high attendance with an expectation that students have an attendance level of 90% or higher. Some parents will recently have received letters from the college regarding their child’s attendance. These letters will be received once a child have had 5 days absence in a term as a reminder that further absences will put the student at risk of failing below the 90% for the semester. Letters are also sent out at 10 and 15 days absence requesting that parents make contact with their child’s year level coordinator. Whilst we understand that some absences are unavoidable, particularly with COVID isolations, it is important that parents and the college work together to ensure students have success with their schooling.
