Save the date! Book Week

This year, the CBCA Book Week at NCS will take place during Week 6, from Monday 29 August - Friday 2 September, 2022. This is one week later than the advertised dates. We have many activities planned for the week including our first Book Week character parade for many years. 

Book Week Parade

Wednesday 31 August 

8.45 – 9.45 am

The Beddoe Pavilion (undercover area outside infants classrooms)  

Parents and grandparents are very welcome to attend.  Primary students and staff are encouraged to dress up as a book character.  Each class will parade around the pavilion while the special guest judges try very hard to choose only two winners from each year level!  Costumes can be as elaborate or as simple as you would like. 

There are any number of websites with ideas for easy Book Week costumes. We understand that not all students will want to dress up as a book character and as this year’s Book Week theme is 'Dreaming with eyes open,' those students have the option to come to school in their PJ’s. Otherwise, school uniform is required. So, dig through those books and start looking for ideas and costumes that will impress our judges, friends and visitors.
