A Message from our School Leaders

St Johns Park Public School

The St Johns Park School community has developed expectations that are a part of each day, whether it be in the classroom or playground. Our school is proud of the idea that there are many opportunities for students and teachers to learn from each other.

Our Motto - Always our Best

We believe that it is so important to follow all expectations. Our school motto, ‘Always Our Best' is one we live by each and every day. This means that our school community, including teachers and students will try their hardest to do their best in each task. Students will learn from their mistakes, keep trying without giving up and reflect on their learning, which are all part of our whole school PB4L Classroom Learning Protocols.

PB4L Expectations

Our school has three core expectations. Each week we have a PB4L focus that all students are expected to follow inside the classroom and outside in the playground.

These are:

  • Being Safe
  • Being Respectful
  • Being an Active Learner

Classroom Settings

Our school community also ensures that all students are being safe, respectful and active learners in the classroom. The St Johns Park School community developed classroom settings that are regularly discussed with students. The classroom settings are:

  • Keeping our hands, feet and objects to myself
  • Use good manners at all times
  • Actively participate during tasks
  • Demonstrate our learning protocols

Learning Protocols

The learning protocols also play an important role in our education system.

They consist of:

  • Solving problems
  • Communicating and collaborating with our peers
  • Reflecting on my learning
  • Looking after my well-being and the well-being of others

We are proud of our school expectations and the behaviour of the students at St Johns Park PS. As school leaders, we know we are role models to all students. The school motto we hold with respect and we always try our best in activities. Following all PB4L expectations is also very important to us as it is important all students are safe, respectful and active learners.

We look forward to an amazing 2023 as school leaders, working with both students and teachers. We feel privileged to have been selected by our peers and teachers and we are committed to fulfill this role with respect and integrity.
