Leadership Induction

Congratulations to all of our school leaders that were inducted on Tuesday, 28th February. It was great that students from Years 2 to 6 could attend along with invited family members. Thank you to Miss Stankovski for her organisation and the team of teachers who supported the induction ceremony.

P&C Annual General Meeting

The P&C Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday, 1st March at 4pm. We had many new parents attending and I am pleased that all P&C executive positions are filled. The roles and names are as follows:

President: Margaret Glushkova

Vice Presidents: Sarah Meoli and Shirley Lau

Secretary: Tumema Failautusi

Treasurer: Eng Hwa Trinh

On behalf of the school, I would like to thank the outgoing P&C executive for their commitment and work ethic to raise funds for the benefit of all the students in our school.

The next P&C Meeting will be held on Wednesday, 22nd March at 9.30am in the hall. All parents and carers are welcome.

NAPLAN 2022 Results and 2023 Tests

Our families may have seen the article in the Sydney Morning Herald dated 23rd February 2023 (see link below). We are proud to be highlighted as among the state's best. Our amazing results are due to the students' commitment to learning and the staff working incredibly hard to improve learning outcomes for every student.

NAPLAN 2023, for students in Years 3 and 5, test window will begin from Wednesday 15th March to Monday 27th March. The following information from NESA for parents is:

• NAPLAN assesses the literacy and numeracy skills your child is already learning at school.
• Teachers will ensure students are familiar with the format of the tests before the NAPLAN test window.
• It is important to remember that NAPLAN is not about passing or failing, but about assessing learning progress.
• The best approach for preparing your child for NAPLAN is to encourage your child to do the best they can on the day.
