Message from the Principal
Term 1 commenced with the celebration of our patron saint's feast day. The school commemorated with a Mass, classroom activities about St Brigid and a special lunch. At the Mass, our Year 6 students received their leadership badges and they together with the staff made a commitment to our school.
On 15th February, we wished our Companion Dog, Angelique, a happy 5th birthday. We are very fortunate to have Angelique at our school supporting our students and staff. She brings us much joy and comfort!
Our annual Twilight Sports event was held on 7 March and was led by Mr Jack Cirillo, our Physical Education Teacher and our House Sports Leaders. It was a well organised and successful event thanks to Jack.
Thank you also to our Parents and Friends Committee and other parents for providing and serving food and beverages.
Congratulations to the Shorten House for their victory on the night, a deserving winner of the Ryan Sports Award.
Congratulations to those students who prepared and celebrated their Sacrament of Reconciliation. A special thank you to the parents of these children for supporting your child in their faith journey.
Our lunchtime Chess Club, as part of our extra curricular program, continues to be a hit with 22 of our students participating each week. We look forward to our first tournament for the year on 2nd May.
Finally, I would like to thank our parents who continue to volunteer their time to support our school. Whether it be volunteering on our School Advisory Council, our Parents and Friends Committee, at our weekly TuckInn, our monthly BBQ at Belmore Butchers, caring for our chickens over the weekends and school holidays, maintaining our Wellbeing Garden or at our working bees to empty and eventually move our shed, your support is greatly appreciated.
Kind regards
Robyn Thomson
Principal
