Year 4 Update

During the next fortnight, students will be undertaking learning in the following areas:

Subject	Learning Focus
Reading	To identify the main idea in texts.
Writing	To plan, draft and publish effective narrative texts.
Maths	To understand that length can be measured with scaled instruments. To understand equivalent fractions.
Inquiry (Health)	To explore how school is for children of different cultures.
Social & Emotional Learning	To develop our understanding of growth mindset

Homework has begun, this will be allocated weekly.
Reading is expected every night, and to be recorded by the students in their student diaries. Parents/ Guardians are asked to sign at the end of each week.
Diaries are to be brought into school each day.
Hats are to be worn during all of Term 1.
