Digital Technology News

On Monday our 3-6 students participated in the Inform & Empower Digital Safety & Wellbeing session through a live webinar (with their teacher). These sessions will occur once every term. The focus of the session was on healthy and safe digital habits. The incursion content is all written and delivered by qualified teachers who are endorsed by the eSafety Commissioner as a Trusted eSafety Provider.

These sessions aim to help children better navigate the online world and become more aware, clever, brave and kind. They will be focused on including navigating unwanted contact, cyberbullying, help-seeking strategies, unsafe content, balancing screen time with "green time" and sharing personal information.

On Thursday 23rd March at 7:30 pm Marty and Carley from Inform and Empower will be conducting a cyber safety webinar for our school community. The cyber safety webinar will be about raising kids in a digital world. In 2021 they ran a session for our community and feedback from families was very positive. Click on the linkto register for the webinar.

Once a family has registered they will be emailed a link to the webinar. They will also receive reminder emails. The following day, they will receive a link to access the replay. Therefore we recommend that even if parents are unable to attend the live webinar, they register to ensure they can access the replay which will be available for 30 days.
