NETBALL
THE CURRENT SEASON
The Winter Competition is almost over. If you wanted to see how your team performed, you can head to the Tamworth Netball Association website. The Net, Set, Go! (Years 1, 2 & 3) teams keep an informal ladder for the season. The Year 4 teams keep a competitive ladder for the season and do not have finals. The Years 5 and 6 teams do have finals. The Year 6 Wipeouts came 4th in their competition after the Semi Finals on Saturday. The Year 6 Roxys are playing a Preliminary Final on Saturday and we wish them good luck. The Year 5 Quicksilvers are playing in a Preliminary Final on Saturday and we wish them good luck also. The Year 5 Speedos finished 6th out of 8 teams in their division. I have heard about the wonderful sportsmanship displayed by our players and this is a wonderful reputation to have and maintain. A massive thank you to our coaches. The amount of hours they put in is enormous. We are so lucky to have such dedicated parents.
UNIFORMS
Uniform notes have gone out to players this week. If you have a rental, when you have finished the season, please complete the note and return the freshly washed uniform in a large ziplock bag to Mrs Elliott. If you have bought your uniform and wish to resell back to the club, the prices are detailed on the note.
PRESENTATION AFTERNOON
At this stage, the netball presentation afternoon will be held on Friday afternoon on the 9th of November. This is a tentative date. The date will be firmed up in Term 4.
2018 ST NICHOLAS NETBALL CLUB AGM
Thanks to the people who turned up to the AGM. It was great to see people address issues that arise and the constructive discussions that arose from these. The biggest change next year will be registration afternoons/mornings where players will register, pay and rent their uniforms at school before teams are able to be formed. Please read the minutes regarding the changes of team formation. The minutes will be attached. To this newsletter.

Isabella Wall placed 1st in the 100m, 200m and 800m and broke a track record in the 200m. Zahlee Betts placed 16th in the junior girls discus and 11th in the junior girls shot put. Harry Hickey placed 16th in the junior boys long jump. April Hewitt placed 18th in the senior girls shot put. Bailey Langford placed 5th in his heat for the 200m. Harrison Mills placed equal 5th in the senior boys high jump. Sarah Robertson placed 9th in the senior girls high jump. Toby Robinson placed 8th in his heat for the 100m.
I received a lovely message from a parent who saw two of our girls console a girl from another diocese who was upset after not doing so well in her race. The girls sat with her, comforted her and cheered her up. It does not come as a shock that this is what children who go to St Nicholas School do. Yet again our sportsmanship stands out.
TOUCH FOOTBALL
Touch Football will play right up till the end of Term 3, being 24th September 2018.
Previously, we have not played the first Monday back of a new term as a lot of schools have a pupil free day, however as there is no pupil free day in Term 4, and considering we lost a couple of weeks due to wet weather, we will resume games on Monday 15th October 2018.
At this stage, Nippers last day will be 26th November and Primary Grand Finals 10th December 2018. Thankyou Tamworth Touch Football Association
