Kilvington Productions

The musical productions at Kilvington have always been a highlight and this year has certainly lived up to our outstanding reputation!

Going through our storage we found an old photo album of production photos, but unfortunately they are not labelled.

We hope you enjoy browsing through the gallery below and perhaps you can let us know if you can share some information about some of the pictures.

Productions 2017

In May, the Senior School put on an amazing performance of Grease. This was the first time that we had a fully co-ed cast with our own male students cast in all male roles!

July saw our Junior School Prep - Year 4 classes stage Jungle Book and it was an absolute joy! The confidence shown and gained by our younger students is fantastic to witness.

Later this year, our Years 5 and 6 students will perform Seussical the Musical and we can't wait!

Grease

What a show! The Dalton Hall stage was crammed with students from Years 7-12 eagerly taking part in possibly one of the largest ensemble productions Kilvington has ever staged. Both Friday and Saturday nights were sell-outs. Grease was full of energetic performances from start to finish. Complex dance routines involving 40-plus students were seamless, and the audience loved it when the performers spilled over the stage and into the seating area.

It was wonderful to see the sheer joy on every cast member’s face as they sang and danced their way through the production. Whether their part was large or supporting, they all looked genuinely delighted to be up on stage, reminding us that everyone has a part to play at Kilvington. This delight was reflected in the audience who could be seen tapping their feet and clapping their hands at the finale. The beaming smiles and excited chatter as everyone left at the end of the show were testament to the fantastic job everyone did to put on this production.

Jungle Book

The Kilvington Junior School community was thoroughly entertained by the Prep to Year 4 musical production of The Jungle Book

Dalton Hall came alive to the wonderful characters of Bagheera, Baloo, Mowgli, Shere Khan, Shanti and Kaa; ably supported by all the wonderful array of animals from the Jungle.

Congratulations to all students and special thanks to the Director, Fiona Radford and supporting staff.
