'Paying It Forward' - Tarcoola Visit

On Friday 18th October, as part of 7E’s Learning To Learn project - ‘Paying It Forward’, students from Mrs. Hoskin’s class visited the residents of Hakea Lodge at Tarcoola. The students chatted with the residents about their past, families, hobbies and various other topics. Some students had even printed off lists of ‘conversation starters’ for the group in case they got stuck! We joined them for afternoon tea and all sang ‘Happy Birthday’ to Margaret, as it was her 87th birthday. After some cake and conversation, students walked back to school, happy with the knowledge that they had learned a lot from the older generation, and were able to provide them with visitors, which some of them don’t often get.
