SAKG

This week for Kitchen and Garden we had our first face to face sessions with the years  3 and 4.  For kitchen,  we revisited hand hygiene and the importance of why we need to do it and properly.

We tasked the 3’s and 4’s to take this information and create their very own superhero that helps you wash your hands. They got super creative and it was fantastic to witness their thought and creativity in their drawings.

Unfortunately our garden sessions this week were rained out and we were not able to get outside to make a start on some overdue garden maintenance.  The grade 2's and 3's were introduced to the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program from inside their classrooms, watching Stephanie Alexander with a group of school children make beautiful recipes from the garden.  We all started feeling really hungry!

We look forward to welcoming you all back to school next week and doing kitchen and garden together on Monday 15 June.
