Killara School Partnership -Student Voice

On Tuesday student leaders from Killara HS, Killara PS, Beaumont Road PS, Lindfield PS, Lindfield East PS and Roseville PS met via Zoom to discuss their experiences of Learning from Home. 

These highly impressive students spoke about the challenges they faced during this tumultuous period such as WiFi issues, being separated from friends and mentors, stress associated with uncertainty surrounding the HSC and feelings of isolation and missing out on significant school experiences. They also demonstrated a significant capacity and willingness to succeed and achieve and a strong determination to continue to learn. 

Students spoke of the importance of close family ties during this time and expressed gratitude for the efforts their teachers had made to support them and guide them in their learning. Overall, it was wonderful hearing these future leaders speak openly about their experiences and the optimistic outlook they hold for the future.
