Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

There was a sense of relief as we all returned to onsite learning last week.

Smiles covered the faces of students, staff and parents.

Teachers shared that classrooms were settled with students eager to engage in learning.

Thank you for supporting your child with their learning at home. Parents have shared that they enjoyed the experience yet I know it would not have been easy for many of you.

Families have also gained an insight into the efforts teachers go to in engaging our students. Together we have gained an insight into the role we each play in educating your child. This has increased respect between us. There are many positive things that have come from the forced lock down.

All adults onsite at school continue to practise social distancing and students and staff are regularly washing and sanitising their hands. Stands with hand sanitiser have been strategically placed in the foyer with all classrooms also having their own supplies.

We have SPOT cleaners onsite daily. They are moving through every room in the school throughout the day cleaning all areas that are repeatedly touched. I am confident that we are prioritizing the safety of students and staff.

For the families involved in dropping off and picking up your child I thank you for your trust and patience as we developed our processes. It is working smoothly. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.

It is good to receive some positive feedback of remote learning. So that we can understand how you felt a Parent Survey has been forwarded to all of our families. We look forward to reading your response to help us improve our practices.

ADMIN & TECHNOLOGY

The Technology that was loaned is starting to return slowly. Please find the time to return the devices to the school so that they can be used in classrooms daily. Devices can be handed to the office.

We will continue to share Assembly Friday afternoons however instead of being together in the hall each classroom will join in virtually. Above is a photo of the image students saw at our weekly assembly. This will keep us connected and safe.

This week has been a cold start to winter.

Stay warm.
