Are you a student, teacher, or parent that is involved with football and netball clubs in Gippsland? If so, then you are invited to participate the Tackle Your Feelings online mental health program. This program, run by Gippsport in association with the AFL Coaches Association and the AFL Players Association, uses leadership and resources to change attitudes toward mental health in sport settings. Free counselling available for students and parents during COVID-19
Royal Flying Doctor Service Victoria (RFDS) continues to deliver mental health and wellbeing services to students of Maffra Secondary College as well as their parents. Free and confidential appointments are available over the phone and via video. RFDS has delivered mental health and
wellbeing services in Maffra since March 2019.
“Students and parents have experienced a lot of extra pressures during COVID-19 and RFDS are here to support those feeling stressed, worried or overwhelmed.” says Health Service Manager, Lauren Zappa.
“We have adapted our services in response to this new challenge and are continuing to provide counselling via telephone and video so that appointments can occur from home” Ms Zappa said.
