Semester 1 Reports and Parent Teacher conferences

The Department of Education and Training released a statement re reporting for semester 1 2020.  Teachers will be writing an amended report.  At CSPS these reports will be released via Compass at the end of week 10.

The Department stated:

In recognition that schools have adopted revised teaching and learning plans for Term 2, schools must provide: a description of the areas of the Victorian Curriculum F-10 taught, a succinct descriptive assessment of student learning achievement, based on the Achievement Standards in the Victorian Curriculum F-10 and a comment on how the student has adjusted to the remote and flexible learning environment, with reference to the Personal and Social Capability curriculum.

Parent – Teacher conferences will also be conducted, remotely via Google meet, on Tuesday 23rd and Wednesday 24th June,

4 - 6  pm. A Compass notification was sent out last week. Please check Compass and follow the prompts if you wish to talk to your classroom teacher.

This meeting will be to discuss:

  • How your child worked during Remote Learning
  • What you noticed about your child’s learning needs during Remote Learning
  • Goal setting for semester 2, 2020

These meetings are voluntary. Please contact your classroom teacher by email, if you would prefer to discuss via phone or have a query that can be answered via email.

All classes have resumed onsite learning. It has been great to see students onsite learning and playing.

Many students have returned with examples of their work from off site learning to share. Others are completing fantastic work now they are back onsite.

Remote Learning Survey

Thanks to those families who have completed the CSPS Remote Learning Survey. The results have been overwhelmingly supportive of the school staff and their efforts during Remote Learning.

Some examples of results are shown below:

If you still wish to complete this survey it will remain open until 4pm on June 19. See Compass for the link.
