STEM NEWS 

It has been fantastic to finally meet the Prep students at Buninyong for STEM! In their previous lesson students focused on exploring what STEM as well as what we will be learning about for the rest of the term.  For the rest of Term 1 the Prep students will be looking at magnetism as well as push and pull forces. 

The Grade 1 and 2 students have shifted their focus onto sound. 

This has seen students explore sound sources and use tunning forks to watch vibrations.  

Air resistance has been the focus of the 3 and 4 students. This week they have learnt what air resistance and explored this by creating a parachute. 

Senior students in Grade 5 and 6 have continued to explore electricity. Students have begun a project which involves them designing and creating their own functional torch.
