Last night, the College leadership team had the pleasure of welcoming prospective Year 7 2024 students and parents to our College information session. It was delightful to welcome so many new families that are genuinely interested in Joining MCC to take advantage of the superior learning opportunities, dedicated Pastoral care and inclusive Faith formation to ensure the growth of their child.

Marian is a place of Welcome, Faith, Service and Learning. Last night, I specifically addressed how Marian is a place of ‘Welcome’. I spoke of our focus on developing our students as ‘whole people’ by offering them opportunities to grow and thrive as well as recognising the intimate relationship between learning and wellbeing. With these elements in place,  students that choose Marian can expect to be a part of a community that develops:

  • Empathetic and well rounded students
  • Exposure to different cultures, faiths and backgrounds which nurtures inclusivity and understanding.
  • The development of strong and trusting relationship
  • Confident a resilient young adults that are self confident and full of self belief

I wish to thank our College student leaders Elizabeth, Lachlan, Jess and Charlie for welcoming our guests and presenting a snippet of their experiences at MCC. Also, a very brave year 7 student Dahab Abbas for her speech about ‘Year 7 so far’. Speeches give prospective families an ‘authentic’ experience of MCC as the welcoming and inclusive community that it is.
