ACTING PRINCIPAL

The public holiday this week came at a good time, I hope all parents, students and staff all took the time to have a rest, spend time with their families and catch up with friends. 

Substantive Principal Announcement

The Department of Education has now finalised the process for selecting a new principal at Red Cliffs Secondary College. I am pleased to announce that Justin Matt has been appointed as our new Principal, and he is very much looking forward to taking up the role and working with the students, staff and families. Justin comes to Red Cliffs SC from Roxburgh College in Melbourne, a school of almost 1150 students where he is currently Assistant Principal. He brings a range of leadership experiences to the role including significant experience as Assistant Principal in different schools and in Acting Principal positions. Justin will commence his role as Principal in Term 2.

Parent Teacher Interviews

Please be advised that our first Parent Teacher Interviews will be held on Tuesday, 28th March from 4:00pm - 6:00pm.  Bookings are now open on Compass to make appointments with staff in 5 minute time slots

Walking to school

In light of some concerning incidents that have occurred off school grounds in the mornings, I ask all families to speak to their children about appropriate behaviours when walking to school in the mornings. Students should not be lingering around nearby parks or up the street and should be taking the most direct route to enter the schoolgrounds. Students who catch the bus should walk directly onto school grounds and not leave to go up the street under any circumstances.

Uniform

As the cooler weather begins to approach us, please ensure all students have the appropriate winter uniform.  This includes the Red Cliffs Secondary College rugby jumpers, and softshell jackets as pictured below. Trackpants are to be of either plain navy blue, or black in colour.

Uniforms are available now at Laser Sign and Print and can be ordered either online or in store. If your child is needing a winter uniform, please get in early to ensure students are well prepared for the winter months. Uniform infringements will not be tolerated.
