Thank you Rotary Club of Waverley

The Rotary Club of Waverley, with a grant from the Bendigo Bank, have offered SJV as one of the 40 primary schools in the City of Monash the opportunity to assist the Pat Cronin Foundation in an education program, through a series of books written to appeal to primary school age students.

What is the Pat Cronin Foundation?

The Foundation was set up to honour the young Pat Cronin whose teenage life was tragically taken by a “coward punch”. The books have been written to give a clear message to children that physical aggression is not the only way to deal with conflict, with the idea that the culture and mindset of aggressive behaviours can be changed by early intervention through education.

The books

Mrs. Torissi is currently working with the Rotary Club to organise the books. We are looking forward to seeing them in the library soon.
