Principal's Report

Welcome back, as a whole school

Students back

It is simply wonderful, to see all students back on-site at school together.

Staff and students connected again, learning, playing and interacting with each other.

Hopefully, we are through the most challenging of times.  I won't celebrate too early, however the outlook is bright for our students and families to resume normal schooling and programs.  It has been a long haul, and I thank you all for your commitment to the wellbeing and education of your children.

We are in this together and we will see it through together.

Thank you and keep up the great work.

Face masks

Students in years 3-6 have overwhelmingly supported the necessity to wear face masks.  As it is currently mandated, we continue to endorse this measure, to promote the safety and health for all.

Despite some inevitable teething issues, our students have handled the transition exceptionally well.

Students are required to only wear masks indoors.  You need only provide one for your child (and hopefully they don't lose it).  Please name them, as required to assist classroom teachers identifying owners.

Road map

The new road map steps from Monday 1 November has a number of restriction adjustments.

Notably, the following will impact our gradual return to normality:

  • Face masks for students (and staff) continue
  • Routine cleaning continues
  • Excursions & incursions can resume
  • School tours resume
  • Transition programs ie K-F & Yr6-7
  • Camps resume
  • Assemblies in bubbles; and
  • Graduations can take place

I acknowledge the First Peoples of the Wathaurong, who are the traditional custodians of the land and waters on which I work and live, and pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.
