Year 7 Transition

2022 Year 7 Transition

Term 4 sees our Transition Team well underway with acquainting ourselves with our 2022 Year 7 students. We have been meeting with all of our feeder school’s Grade 6 Teachers, learning about our future additions to the College. We have also begun our preparations for the upcoming Transition Events, as well as the Parent Information Evening. 

It has also been great for our current Year 7s to be able to meet with the future Year 7s to introduce themselves and share experiences of Year 7 and answer questions about high school life. This has been happening via Webex meetings organised with the Primary schools.

Our team and the ESC staff believe that no matter what experiences students have had during these past two years of their primary school that they have developed a range of skills and abilities that form the basis for further learning and teaching. We are gaining students that are more attuned to the use of technology and a greater self-awareness of their strengths and challenges as a learner than ever before. Our school is looking forward to welcoming and supporting students at different stages in their growth. 

Changing of restrictions and the publishing of new Operations Guides will dictate what Transition Events will look like. Information will be made available to families in as timely manner as possible.
