Our Catholic Identity

October the Month of the Holy Rosary

This month our whole school focus is ‘Catholic Mission’ and the ‘Holy Rosary’.

We are encouraged to be Mission People in our words and actions. One way we can do this is through prayer. We invite you and your family to pray a decade of the Rosary each day asking for Mary’s blessings as we walk in the truth and the light of our God together at St Joseph’s Primary.

Catholic Mission Month 2021

Inclusion and Diversity

“We want to recognise the human dignity in every person, whatever his or her race, language or condition might be.”

Pope Francis, 2020

This month students will participate in activities to support and raise awareness for Catholic Mission. This year's challenge is made up of six Modules: Creation, Health & Nutrition, Work & Learning, Living Mission, Inclusion & Diversity and Sport & Games. Class activities will help take students on a journey in Mission during Catholic Mission Month. As a School community, we are invited to explore and acknowledge the work of Catholic Mission.

Catholic Mission receives our financial assistance to support initiatives that promote human dignity and our participation in outreach presents valuable lessons in resilience and compassion and reminds us that we are part of a global Catholic community. A project focused on 'the other' during this time can bring wellbeing benefits for our communities.

Jesus calls us at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Bulli to be ‘Mission People’. During Week 5 of this term we as a school community will participate in a crazy sock, gold coin donation ‘Sock it to Poverty’ Fundraising day. Together we can make a difference through compassionate action and loving service. Let's work together to ‘Kick Goals for Kids in Need this Mission Month.’
