Dad's Day Out

Come along to a GSPV Dad's day where we will head over to Maitland on the Yorke Peninsula.

This trip will be of interest if you remember the cars from Duke's of Hazard "The General Lee", Knight Rider with "KITT",  or even have a soft spot for Ford or Holden cars.

Weather permitting there is also a go cart track which we may be able to use BUT if the weather turns bad, there will be a back up plan.

WHEN: Saturday 23rd October

ARRIVE: 8.00am sharp at the school. (We plan to car pool where possible)

BRING: BBQ meat

RETURN: 4.00pm (approx.)

There will be a small cost of $15.00 per person, just to cover fuel for the driver's.

RSVP: No later than the 13th October to Matt Modra on 0418 836 454.

Looking forward in seeing you then!

Growing Faith at Home

How did you go with the ‘Questions to ask your kid to spark an interesting conversation’ resource that I shared last week? What answers did your family have for: ‘ If you had to be trapped in a car on a road trip with anyone in the Bible, who would it be?’  My number one answer would be Jesus of course, but I’m also thinking Nicodemus. I’d love to ask him some questions. Actually, there are plenty of Bible people I would like to spend time with. Part 2 of this question would be ‘Why him or her?’ I will reattach this resource in case you missed it last week.

The Growing Faith at Home resource offers other ideas to talk about, as well as activities to do as a family. This week’s title is ‘Following Jesus involves serving others.’ I like the service idea that GFH suggests: ‘Make a list of ways you can be servants to one another in your home this week or as a family how could you serve another family who could use your help?  Check out the resources for some things to consider and do!

God bless your discussions!

Little Lambs Playgroup

Little Lambs Playgroup will be meeting on the school oval again this Friday for some outdoor fun. Our area will be zoned around the Mud Kitchen, Cubby and Tiny Towns area. Please note, the JP playground area is not available on the day. Please bring your own rug, snacks and a warm cuppa. Gum boots might be handy! Once again, access will be through the oval entrance gates at the end of the car park. Hope you can join us to play and connect!
