Our Year 6 students had a fabulous day at O'Connor enjoying all that their choice of High School has to offer. Students rotated through 4 rotations: Praxis class, School tour, PE Lesson and Drama lesson. We witnessed many of your children going out of their way to mix with other students, include them in their group and spend break time hanging out. 2022 is looking promising for your highschooler!
Measurement in Maths
Students have continued exploring length by learning to convert between mm, cm, metres and kilometres.
We planned out a round the world trip from Sydney with multiple stop overs which required students to record each destination's distance from Sydney. The task also had students identify the distances between each stop over and work out the time based on timezones which we worked on earlier in the term.
PDHPE
We have been learning about the different sport and leisure venues around Armidale. Students created posters advertising their favourite club or venue and some created new facilities if they felt they were lacking in our community.
Creative Arts/English
Students have been working to create a movie poster to advertise the script they wrote earlier in the term.
