School Nurse

Feeling Unwell ?

Due to the recent rise in Covid cases in the community we would like to remind families that students are not permitted to attend school if they have any cold or flu like symptoms including:

  • Fever or chills
  • A dry cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Feeling very tired
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • A loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhoea

If a student has any of the above symptoms, they should not attend school, even if they test negative for Covid. If students show any of these symptoms at school, they will be sent home.

If students have been in contact with anyone who has Covid, they should do a RAT test before attending school, for at least 1 week after exposure.

If your child has a cough or sneeze that you believe is related to Asthma or Hay fever, they will need to visit their GP for a treatment plan, and you will need to provide the school with appropriate documentation.

We understand this can be very stressful for families and we thank all the families and carers for your continued support in keeping our school community safe.

Government Recommends Masks At School

The Victorian government is now recommending that Victorian school children over the age of 8 wear a mask at school.

We strongly recommend that you encourage your child to wear a mask to school, although this is not mandatory.

We ask that you wear a mask while dropping off and picking your children up from school.

Staff are strongly encouraged to wear masks as much as possible.

Our school is a unique setting, and we understand that mask wearing is often not practical or possible.

Most importantly, in these difficult and trying times, we ask that everyone understanding that all people have different challenges in their lives, so be considerate and be Kind.
