Athletics Day

On Tuesday, the Grade 3-6's travelled to Collingwood Athletics track to compete in the CNPS Athletics day. The weather definitely wasn’t kind to us, with light rain consistently flowing through the day. Despite this, our students were able to show true resilience, persistence and determination throughout the day, to get all of our field and running events done in record time.

All of the ribbons were given out yesterday and students will be notified by tomorrow if they have qualified for the District Athletics at Coburg on the 25th of August. (generally top 2 in each event, top 4 in 100m for relays).

These days cannot be successful without the assistance of the teachers and parents who help out at events (making spreadsheets, timing, recording, marshalling , place judges) or even bringing morning tea. We really appreciated your patience and resilience on probably the worst weather we have had to contend with in my time at the school. The kids had a great time despite the weather, and we couldn’t have done it without you all.

A special thanks to Maddi Davis for all her help in the background. I would also like to thank parents Rachel Mathews, Kristen Dearricott and Sarah Morgan for their help behind the scenes!

Look forward to the District Event next week!!
