As the end of term approaches and the sunshine starts to appear, we have much to be grateful for.

Last week we celebrated Fathers Day and it was a huge success. There had been lots of secret organising in the background by mums and alike - preparing gifts and treats for special men in the children's lives.

Fathers' Day

We had a beautiful Friday last week when we celebrated Fathers' Day here at school. Thank you to everyone who helped and supported this lovely start to the day. It was great to see so many dads attending and playing with the kids.

Disco

Last night we had a disco for the children and a Cheese and Wine evening for the parents. It was such a wonderful night and so good to see everyone enjoying themselves.

Huge thank you to all our amazing parent helpers for making the night possible. Special thank you to Trish for the amazing spread for the cheese & wine. HOWEVER ... we cannot forget the fantastic DJ that raised the roof and sets the tone ! DJ Sando was back in full technicolour glory!! (Thank you Ben)!

HOLT Athletics Carnival

Well we did it again! We won the percentage Championship at the HOLT District Athletics Carnival last week. We took all the children from Year 3 - 6 and everyone had an event of two to represent St Joseph's. The children were amazing in their running, jumping and throwing and even more amazing in the way they conducted themselves for the day. I couldn't be prouder of the team. We had some great individual results and a Relay victory. These children will progress to represent the HOLT District (and St Joey's) at the next level of competition on October 11th.
