PRINCIPAL'S REPORT

Wow, what an amazing week it has been!

With the return of the Level 4 students from Camp last Friday, the level 3 and level 4s strutting their athletic skills at the Interschool Athletics earlier in the week and the big finale… Our amazing Book Week Celebrations yesterday. It all kicked off with the Book Week dress-up Parade, then the BIG long awaited announcements of our 2022 Book of the Year Winners, but that wasn’t all… a whole school Buddy Reading Session, (where the students share their amazing stories with students from other levels) and finally, a tour of our amazing Decorated Doorways!

An action packed day indeed! An amazing effort to the staff for organising the day and all the time and effort that goes into the behind the scenes work, the doorway are fabulous, and if you haven’t had the chance to check them out, please do when you next pop into the school. A huge thank you to students, staff and parents for your enthusiasm and involvement in yesterdays’ celebrations.

Finally, a big Congratulations to our 2022 Book of the Year Winners:

Of course there were many other students who were also shortlisted, acknowledging the hard work that goes into producing these books. Having the opportunity to read over 280 picture story books during the holidays and having the very difficult task to shortlist, then select only a very few from each level, was extremely challenging. Again the standard was high.  But please stay tuned, as over the coming weeks we will be releasing some videos of the students reading their winning stories. Every day, these kids do us proud!

Another sensational demonstration of the wonderful things that our kids get to do here at Echuca East Primary School.

Great job Easties!
