What's been on at the Springs

Casey Cup Netball tournament

The Springers were defending their 2019 championship title at Casey Cup last Tuesday. We took a few teams with both mixed teams making the Semi-finals, unfortunately playing off against each other. In the end, our mixed team 1 made it to the finals, as did the boy's team, but it wasn’t to be, with both teams taking away the runners-up title. Super effort by everyone involved.

Year 5 & 6 Hoop Time

Last Friday saw a huge turnout from the local schools for the Senior Hoop Time Competition. All players did an amazing job and each team did exceptionally well throughout the day. Our Future Stars 1 team made it through to the grand final which was unfortunately cancelled due to time, but we’d like to claim it anyway as we remained undefeated for the day.

Year 3 Camp

It was CAMP WEEK for Year 3 at Narmbool and the reports from the camp were incredibly positive. It sounded like everyone, even the livestock, had heaps of fun doing loads of activities such as Aboriginal games, aquatic sampling, critter creations and feeding sheep. It sounds like everyone was grateful for the amazing experience.

Year 3 MGC Excursion

The Year 3 students have certainly been making up for a couple of years in lockdown over the past couple of weeks with an excursion as well as their camp week. The Year 3's headed off to Melbourne for a tour of the iconic MCG where they got to walk onto the hallowed turf and took part in various educational activities within the stadium.
