National Bandanna Day- Friday 28th October

National Bandanna Day is about raising funds for CanTeen.  CanTeen helps young people who are coping with cancer in their family.  Through CanTeen, they learn to explore their feelings about cancer and connect with other young people who are in similar situations.

To help raise money for this wonderful foundation, the School Community Captains will be selling cotton bandannas for $5 each. The last day you will be able to purchase these bandannas will be Friday 28 October 2021.

All bandannas are purchased through QKR. Once purchased, the bandannas will be organised and distributed to the appropriate classrooms. Students will be encouraged to wear their bandannas around the school once collected.

Term 3 Footy Day- a big thank you!

The SCC team would like to say a big thank you to those families who donated a gold coin towards the Fight for Cancer Foundation. The SCC were able to raise $278.98 towards this fantastic foundation. It was also great to see so many students dressing up and participating in our Footy Day parade.

Hi I'm Violet and I’m a S.E.T. (Sustainability & Environment Team) student.  I‘m here to ask you to bring nude food, which means no wrappers.  Nude food will keep our school clean for the environment so please bring NUDE FOOD.

I sea I care Warneet Excursion

By Arizona and Tegan

At the end of Term 3 the Isea Icare team went on an excursion to Warneet Boat Ramp and Reserve. We learnt about  how to identify dolphins and whales. We did some weeding and learnt about  bones from wild animals such as Kangaroos, Birds and more. We went on a  bushwalk and learnt about bush medicine and bush tucker. We ate  different plants and some were yummy and some we're not.

A ranger came to talk to us about different types of bones, we saw antlers of Deer's which were pretty amazing. Did you know that Deer's antlers are made out of the same stuff our toenails are made of!  Next we learnt how to identify sharks, whales and dolphins we have to look at the particular spots on their bodies and their fins somewhere different colors and that made it easier to identify what type of Whale and dolphin it was, it was quite fun to do . We also did a food/country sorting activity to see what food and country was the worst in producing gases in the world. We had lots of fun and learnt a lot of new things!
