Room 10

This term in Year 2/3 we have been super busy learning about sea creatures. Some of the creatures have included: the whale shark, loggerhead sea turtles, penguins, the blue whale, and seahorses. We have investigated using library books, the internet using websites such as National Geographic for Kids and other sources of information. With our research we wrote information reports, which included information on our creatures such as its habitat, diet, appearance and size, and interesting facts.

We then linked our learning about sea creatures into creating a habitat out of recycled shoe boxes. We used our developing STEM skills to design; problem solve and create interesting little replicas of our sea creatures’ habitat. The making process was tricky, but we worked together to problem solve and come up with solutions. The project was enjoyed all by all.
