Foundation

What a wonderful day the children had at our Royal Botanical Gardens excursion! They learned about Indigenous Australian plants and gained insights into how Indigenous Australians lived off the land in a sustainable way using traditional tools and utensils for hunting and fishing. The children walked through the Banksia Nut Tree and listened for the fairies living in the large old oak tree! They painted with crushed rock, visited the herb garden, made lavender and rose pot pouri bags and potted a plant that they took home to look after.

Foundation enjoyed their first ever House Sports Day and competed in many activities on the day to collect points for their house. A fun day was had by all!

The children are busy practising their song which they will perform at the RPS Carols Night on Wednesday 4th December. We hope to see you all there!

All the best,

Miss Bonte, Miss Clarke, Ms Wilson, Mrs Goulding and Mrs Tzimos – Foundation Team.
