GVGS Tennis

On Friday 6th of March the Girton Tennis team travelled to Shepparton to compete against Goulburn Valley Grammar School. Twenty four students competed on the day with the competition split into four sections; Junior boys, Junior Girls (Yrs 7-9), Senior Boys  & Senior Girls (Yrs 10-12). The day is normally held at on the fresh lawn courts which gives our opponents an edge, this year due to heavy rain the team played on hard courts at McEwen Reserve. Unfortunately GVGS proved to be too strong in all sections. The competition was played in good spirit with some high quality rallies throughout the day.

Best Players for the day were awarded to the following students for winning the most games:

Senior Girls – Eloise Symes (10 Jones)

Senior Boys – Siddheswar Vijayanand (10 Millward)

Junior Girls – Sarah Witham (7 Millward)

Junior Boys – Dhane Page (8 Riley)
