ICCES Table Tennis

The Table Tennis Tradition Continues:
ICCES 2020 Report
At the recent ICCES competition at MSAC in Melbourne, Girton Grammar School students showed their ability winning three of the four divisions and once again being runaway winners of the ICCES Table Tennis Shield.
This is the fifth consecutive time we have won the Shield.
The Senior Boys and Senior Girls teams were convincing winners in all their matches with every player showing their class.
The Junior Girls played exceptionally well when the pressure was on to win through to the final on a games countback and then to come through in the final three rubbers all and eight games to seven.
The Junior Boys team played some excellent Table Tennis but were outmatched by older more experienced teams in the finals to come a creditable fourth in their division.
Congratulations to all competitors on their sportsmanship, behaviour and efforts throughout the day.
A special thank you to Isaac Willits for filling in at the last minute and still winning most of his matches.
