ICCES Swimming

On Wednesday 4th March, the ICCES Swimming Carnival took place at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre. The Girton Swimming team came up against independent schools from all over country Victoria. Thirty two students competed in a range of strokes and relays and were very competitive in all sections. With some age groups lacking a full team, Girton impressed still coming 3rd overall. The admirable swimming from the year 11/12 girls saw them take out their category with a swimmer placing in every race and the team winning a speedy freestyle relay. Overall it was a fantastic day at the pool, the team represented the school proudly. Thank you to Mr Slater, Mrs Tunzi, Miss O’Connor-Williams and Ms Speed for attending the day.
