ICCES Badminton

To start the 2020 badminton season with a bang, we managed to send four teams to play in the annual badminton ICCES competition on the 4th of March. The teams comprising of:

Junior Boys: Aksharan Shobanan, Julius Krelle and Jeb Collins

Junior Girls: Shihuan Tong, Li Hindson and Mia Nichol

Senior Boys: Tai Hindson, Dhruv Gupta and Angus Drummond

Senior Girls: SiChi Tong, Anika Weibgen and Hannah Woodman 

The day went considerably well and everyone had an enjoyable time competing against students from other schools. Girton ended up placing 3rd overall, with the highest placing being senior girls with a result of 2nd place. 2020 ICCES Badminton would definitely be considered successful and a highlight for the co-curriculum.
