Bayside District Swimming Trials

FRIDAY 1 March 

There are three age divisions for both male and female – 9/10yr, 11yr and 12/13 – age as at 31/12/2018. i.e If a child is turning 10 this year, they will compete as a 10 year old.

 

Students should have had extensive previous experience in a 50m pool and be able to complete the 50m swim without stopping. Participants tend to be weekly squad swimmers.

· Students may try out for 4 events (strokes – Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly), but can only qualify to swim in 2 individual events and 1 relay.

· The 2 fastest swimmers in each event qualify to compete at the Northern Peninsula         Divisional event.

I will be handing out permission forms to interested students over the next couple of weeks.

 

Before School Athletics Training: will be conducted from 8.20-8.40am on both Tuesday and Wednesday for Grade 3-6 students. Students may wear their runners to  school on these days however, they must bring their school shoes with them to change into if it’s not their           scheduled P.E. day.
