Staff Commissioning Mass

On Saturday 9th February, the staff attended Mass at St Brendan’s church where they were commissioned by Father Michael in the presence of other members of the parish community. The staff pledged their loyalty, professionalism and dedication to the children of St Brendan’s. The members of the parish community prayed for God’s blessing on our work. It was a lovely experience of welcome, recognition and support. As Principal of St Brendan’s, I felt extremely proud to stand alongside this dedicated group of teachers, Learning Support Officers and administration staff. I would like to thank Father Michael for his ongoing support of us all.

Plenary Council 2020

In 2020, we will have a Plenary Council (a meeting of bishops) about the future of the Catholic Church in Australia. It has been 80 years since this last took place. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage people in conversations about God and the Church.

The big question they are asking is: Melbourne, what do you think God is asking of us at this time in Australia? If you would like to respond to this question, you can have your say online before Ash Wednesday 6th March. Go to the website www.cam.org/plenary/ and follow the link to respond on line.

Liam Buckley and I had the pleasure of taking our Year 5/6 students to the church and asking them this very question. Please see their responses below.
