Dear Parents and Friends of St Brendan’s,

~ Every Child Known, Encouraged, Challenged ~
This week, you will receive an information page that has been prepared by the teachers and that is appropriate to your child’s year level. This page will outline the learning and teaching that will occur in the level over the first term and the learning expectations held by the teachers. As mentioned previously, we will hold a ‘Learning Showcase’ during Week Eight of the term. The day and time to be advised next week. This will be an opportunity for parents to visit their child’s classroom to view, discuss and celebrate the learning that has taken place. If you wish to share any information or ask any questions regarding your child, please remember that the teachers are more than happy to meet with you. We ask that you make an appointment. Please remember that the teachers have after school meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays each week.

Kaboom Twilight Sports and Welcome Barbecue
Every family is warmly invited to attend our Twilight Sports and Welcome Barbecue that will be held on Thursday 21st February commencing at 4:30pm and concluding at 7:30pm.
Our Sports Captains and other Year Six students will work with the amazing Luke and his team from Kaboom to lead the children through a series fun activities.
Please bring a picnic rug or chairs, some bits and pieces to snack on and some soft drink. Please note that due Child Safety laws, alcohol cannot be consumed at school events when children are present.
We will hold a barbecue and also sell soft drinks and Zooper Dooper icy poles.
All children are required to wear a tee shirt in their house colour. If you are unsure of your child’s house colour,(information was sent home last week) please ask their teacher or contact the office.
Addresses and Contact Details
If you have recently changed your residential address, email address or mobile phone number, would you please pop into the office and let Wendy or Jodie know. It is vitally important that we can contact you in case of emergency. If any of your emergency contacts have changed their details we would appreciate you updating these as well. Thank you for your support.
Uniform Shop
I would like to thank Tracey Stroker, Raelene Walsh, Caroline Wiebrecht, who have generously volunteered to take over the running of our uniform shop. I am extremely grateful to them for offering to assist so that this wonderful service can continue to operate at St Brendan’s

We are still seeking people who are willing to be class representatives for the following classes:

Principal
Deputy Principal
Hello everybody!
My name is Liam Buckley and I’m very happy to be joining the St Brendan’s community as the Deputy Principal. I hope to meet and get to know you all over the next few weeks so please come and say hi when you see me on duty or around school.
I feel very privileged to be working with the students and staff at St Brendan’s and I hope to contribute positively to all aspects of the school.
One of my main roles is to support the staff in the continual improvement of learning outcomes for students as well as in assisting Sue Carr and the Leadership Team in ensuring that St Brendan’s is the best school it can be.
In my first few weeks at the school, your children have been so welcoming and positive and I feel part of the team already.
I look forward to seeing you at Twilight Sports on Thursday!
