Devonshire Tea, for guests only, will be served at first break.
Foundation to 2 guests will be served in the Junior building.
Year 3 to 6 special guests will be served in the Science room.
The day will conclude at 12.30 pm.
We look forward to sharing a wonderful morning together!
Preparation for Bushfire Season
We have had major tree works completed over the last two days right across the school. We have also had all gutters cleaned and garden maintenance.
This was welcome money from the government to pay for completion of this.
Update Details
With the fire season fast approaching it is a good time to remind families to ensure that all details are up to date at school. If you have changed address, phone number or emergency contact details please contact the office and inform them immediately.
We appreciate this support!
Uniform
In this the commencement of the bushfire season it is such an important safety factor that all students are in full school uniform at all times. If we had to evacuate or other requirement it is such a safety factor to have all children easily recognizable. We appreciate your support in this matter.
OSHC 2020 Update
School Council has decided that in 2020 our OSHC service will be run by an outside provider to ease the burden on the school for the change of leadership. Rowan, our President, has explained this decision in detail in his section of the newsletter. Please read this very carefully.
The OSHC provider is TheirCare and you will find a flyer with relevant information and also very important enrolment information if you intend to use the service in 2020.
TheirCare will also be presenting at the Foundation 2020 Information Night for new families.
To use this service you will need to go to www.theircare.com.au and register online.
Administration 2020 Update!
Lee has requested Long Service Leave commencing on the 28th January and ending on April 30th.
During this time Kate will be the Acting Business Manager for three days per week and we have advertised, and will be interviewing on Monday, for a new person to be in the administration position for this period of time.
Staffing Update!
- Both Ruth and Shannon will not be returning in 2020 to do Auslan. Last week I interviewed and have employed a highly experienced Auslan teacher, a friend of Darren, who will commence in 2020. Each class will have Auslan every week on a Tuesday. We welcome Janaki to this position.
- GEM will continue for 2020 with Sarah taking classes on a Wednesday.
