Donation Spotlight

Recently we had the lovely daughter of Glenys Reardon (nee Hudson - Class of 1964) drop in a special parcel full of amazing CLC history for our archives. Thank you so much for going to the trouble, we absolutely treasure these items.

Class of 1961

The Class of 1961 from East Melbourne had a lovely catch up earlier in the year at the Hotel Riverwalk Restaurant. From all accounts there was much laughter and sharing of old photos from their school days. We love seeing our CLC Sisterhood catching up in between reunions. Thanks to AnnMaree for sharing this great picture with us.

From left to right - Marie Lynch (nee Stewart), Colleen McDonald (Sr.) Kay Ryan (Dewar), Sue Moorhouse (Griffiths), Maureen Duggan (Murphy), Marilyn James (Myers), Linda Waltermath (Ruljanic) Suzanne Littleton (Dittmer), Margaret Tuohey (Peevers) and AnnMaree Sneazwell (Caine).

VET in Schools Student of the Year

Congratulations to Lauren Wise (Class of 2018) who won VET in Schools Student of the Year from Box Hill Institute.

Each year, Box Hill Institute's Student of the Year Awards are presented to students who have been nominated and selected for their outstanding academic achievement, leadership qualities, industry service and commitment to learning.

Behind each of the awards presented is an individual story of personal and academic achievement. The finalists were chosen from more than 45,000 enrolments, and demonstrate team and leadership skills, promotion of their industry, and achievement in extracurricular areas.

Class of 1969 - 50 Year Reunion

Nineteen ladies from the class of 1969 celebrated in style with high tea on the 16th March at the Park Hyatt Melbourne in East Melbourne. Fun fact did you know that Catholic Ladies' College was located on the land at the Park Hyatt until 1970 before moving out to leafy Eltham.  Have you seen the commerative plaque next to the Park Hyatt?

The venue helped the class of 1969 reminisce about the wonderful memories from their days at CLC.

A huge thank you to Margaret (class of 1969) for organising this wonderful reunion.

Primary School Classes

2019 has seen us launch our primary school aged program specifically for girls.  It was wonderful to see Kate Hartford (nee Colbert - Class of 1994) back with her gorgeous daughter.

Premier's VCE Award

We are extremely proud of Lily McCarthy (Class of 2018) who received a Premier’s VCE Award for VCE VET Music Performance. The Premier’s VCE study awards recognise students who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the Victorian Certificate of Education. We congratulate Lily on this special achievement, which came with dedication, great talent, commitment and motivation. We also take this opportunity to acknowledge her VCE VET Music Performance teacher, Mr Fred Leduc for his support and encouragement of Lily, who received a perfect score of 50 in this subject.

Swim Skin

We love to showcase the wonderful things our CLC Sisterhood are doing.  Kate Boyd (nee Cooper - Class of 1999) is the creator of Swim Skin. She is a local swimming teacher and loves her job! That pool is her happy place and seeing kids improve each week and reach their goals is inspiring.

She loves the pool but hates the chlorine smell and she couldn't find anything on the market that would neutralise the smell - so she created it herself and Swim Skin was born!

Germany Bound

Getting updates from our Catholic Ladies' College Alumnae brings a huge smile to our faces, we love to see what our CLC sisterhood is up to.  We are so proud of Zoe Patterson-Janes (Class of 2014) and the goals she is kicking in her career. She was on track to begin her Honours year of her Aerospace Engineering degree at RMIT University, when opportunity knocked and received a job offer from Airbus Defence and Space in Friedrichshafen in Germany.

She is relocating to Germany in late August to work in Satellite Operations: Development. What a wonderful role model for our current generation at Catholic Ladies' College.
