Room 20

What is symmetry and how do we find it?  We have been exploring the meaning of symmetry and how the line of symmetry is “imaginary”. We found lots of objects that are symmetrical both inside and outside the classroom. We then created our own symmetrical designs.              

Room 12 and Room 27 Halloween Art

The students in Room 12 worked with their year 4 buddies to learn the history of Halloween and create their own skeleton artwork.

Room 13 News

In Maths we have been measuring and comparing the lengths of different objects using pop sticks, cubes, dominoes and rulers.

Room 26

In Room 26 we made a Tasty cheese Toastie!

This was part of our procedure writing unit. Together as a class we wrote and modeled the procedure as we made our tomato and cheese toastie. This gave the students a real hands on idea of how to write a procedure. The kids enjoyed it very much!

Room 32

In room 32 we have been investigating what life was like in Ancient Egypt. Students created a royal cartouche with their name in hieroglyphics and drew a portrait of royalty just as they would have 3000 years ago.
