Resource Centre

Resources

We are very pleased to announce two new initiatives occurring in the library at lunchtime on Thursdays.

Kindle Kennel – our new eBook club. This is an exciting addition to our successful RAD program which runs during English classes for Years 7-9.  The Resource Centre has purchased some Kindles to provide an option for students who prefer to read fiction on a device.  Many popular titles are available. This alternative complements our book collection.  Thursday lunchtime is an opportunity to take time out of the busy day to enjoy a snack and a quiet read.  Students and staff can be seen relaxing on beanbags, eating a chocolate biscuit and reading the latest fiction on one of our Kindles or their own devices.

KAS Club – a small but enthusiastic group of staff and students have taken up the challenge to Knit A Square.  Boys are learning to knit under the guidance of staff, the aim to create as many squares as possible that will be sewn into rugs.  These rugs will then be donated to bring comfort to those in need.  If you have time to do some knitting at home to contribute to this project, please contact Ria Greene rgg@stbedes.catholic.edu.au at the College for further details.
