Images of Remote Learning

While we are all working and learning from home we thought a fun way to mark the occasion would be with some fun selfies and photos of your learning space!

A selfie of you and perhaps with your pet, a funny group zoom photo or hilarious backgrounds.  While we are all missing the social parts of school this could be some light relief and also a great part for our 2020 Yearbook! 2020 will be a year we will not forget!

We encourage all students and teachers to be a part of this!

Please send any images to Erin Hayley on erin.hayley@jmss.vic.edu.au

Congratulations

Quang Ong received a Silver Award Certificate for the 2020 French-Australian Regional Informatics Olympiad (FARIO) held in March.

This was a selective competition, with less than 80 students across France, Australia, New Zealand and Belgium invited to enter.   Congratulations Quang - Incredibvle acheivement!

Plastic Oceans Club

Hello JMSS!

Plastic Oceans Club is in the process of publishing a new website for the organisation's ambassadors (including us and other schools). Thereby we decided to give everyone the opportunity for their input by running a school wide graphic design competition to fill in some of the blank spots!

There are two different submissions: You can choose either one or both

1. Header Design: this would be features on the homepage and the first thing that people would see!

Format:

eg.

2. Feature Design: We will be needing five images to be featured in different sections of the website.

Submission Requirements:

- due on the 25th May 2020

World's Greatest Shave

So first up, I need to say thank you. To all of you. Without you all, this wouldn't have been possible, and the impact we've made was just incredible. So thank you.

It's done! The deed has been done! All my hair is gone, and now I look like a UFC fighter. Thank you all to the people who joined the live-stream, for putting a smile on my face while it all happened. I've attached some photos for you to see, and if you want to see the whole thing go down, here's the link to the video:

Again, thank you all so much. As of me writing this, we've raised over $1,300, bringing our grand total to $1,600! Incredible.

Yours truly,

Seb
