Staff Profile

Michele Rogers

Unsure of what I wanted to do when I left school, I took up a temporary option of full time employment with Woolworths P/L, as I already worked there part time after school. I ended up staying for 22 years.

Whilst there I worked in various roles including Service Manager and Assistant Manager, at two stores, concluding with 10 years as Office Manager doing payroll and all administration tasks. During my time at ‘Woolies’, I married and had my two children.

In 2001 my husband and I started our own business and so I began working in this role for a further five years, again in an administration role, but on a part time basis.

When my children started their school journey, I became a ‘class room helper’ whilst they were in primary school. This led to the Principal at the time asking me if I would like to work at the school for a few hours per week. While doing a variety of roles at the school, I undertook an Integration Aide Course, enabling me to better assist teachers and students in the classroom.

I have always been an active member of my children’s school community joining School Council and Parents Association, as well as their sporting club committees.

My first involvement with the Scoresby Secondary College community was when my eldest child commenced here in 2005 and I joined the College Council as a parent representative.

I then joined as a staff member of the College in 2006 as an Integration Aide.  2008 saw me move to my current position as Office Administrator, performing various roles in this area, and I am still a member of College Council.

When I am not at Scoresby, I like to spend time with our family and friends and enjoy travelling and life.
