Grade 1/2 News

Grade 1 and 2 Notes and Reminders:

- Tuesday 20th, December: End of year early finish, 1.15pm

- Tuesday 13th, December: Step Up day - students will visit their 2023 classroom, meet their new classmates and their 2023 teacher. They will participate in lots of fun activities, whilst getting to know each other.

- Thank you Parent Reading Helpers! We would like to thank all of our wonderful parent helpers throughout the year.As we are approaching the end of the year, we will no longer require our reading helpers each morning.

- Overdue Library Books: Thank you to those families who have returned their overdue books. We still have a number students with overdue books so if you haven't had the chance to check yet we would really appreciate if you could do this over the weekend and return them early next week.

Robot Buddies

Students have had a great time designing and creating their robots. They also practised their speaking and listening skills when sharing their creations with another group. Thank you to our families who kindly donated materials for us to use in this process.

Upcoming Fortnight:

Term 4 - Week 11 and 12

During Week 11 we will revise concepts and skills which were identified as needing further practise during our recent assessments.

Literacy: In Reading students will be practising the skill of summarising. Students will also put to the test their letter writing skills and what better time to do this than in time for Christmas!

Mathematics: During Maths lessons we will play a variety of maths games which put into practice our place value knowledge and help us to consolidate our number skills.
