Term 4 Week 10
All Library Books Were Due End of Week 7
Due to the end-of-year stock take in the library, from week 7 till the end of term, there is no borrowing of books, and Friday Week 7 (2nd of December) all school library books were due to be returned.
All lost book payments are due by the end of week 8 (9th of December).Overdue notices and emails will be sent to families during the last weeks of school.
Book Series of the Week
Every week in the Tirkandi a new series will be on display to help expose students to all different kinds of books. Due to stock-take weeks 7, 8 and 9 will not have a series of the week displayed.
Week five had the adventurous series Wolf Girl.While week six has the heart-stopping series The Last Kids of Earth.
Scholastic Book Club Orders
Issue 8 is now closed.
Next year we can start all over again!

Premier's Reading Challenge
The Premier's Reading Challenge is Closed.
Borrowing
Reception - Can borrow 4 books
Years 1, 2, 3, 4 - Can borrow 8 books
Years 5 and 6 - Can borrow 10 books
Parents – Can borrow up to 10 books
Books can be kept for a maximum of 2 weeks. All that is required for borrowing is a library bag (for Reception, Year 1/2) and no overdue books. Students are encouraged to manage their own library bags and to borrow regularly.
Returns
Students can either place books they want to return in their classroom library box or directly into the green returns box in Tirkandi.
Overdue, Lost or Damaged Books
The school library policy for overdue, lost or damaged books is as followed. For a library book that has been overdue / lost for 2 weeks or more or returned damaged, there will be a fee of $15. However, if the book is found or returned you will be reimbursed the full amount. Students will be unable to borrow until the book(s) are returned or the payment is made. The money goes towards replacing that book.
