Sustainability

My name is Olive and I am in Year 5. 

This year I was lucky enough to be given a leadership role as a Sustainability Leader.

In our first few weeks we brainstormed ideas on how we can help our school encourage animals into our yard, while still keeping them and us safe. 

Not long ago we found 5 kittens in the yard under a bush. They were dumped there over a weekend. We think that they were dumped at our school because they knew we would do the right thing.

We have made a process to follow if we find stray animals in our yard. 

If they do not belong here or if it is unsafe, for either them or us, 

we will call professional animal handlers to remove and rehome them. 

I know that I will always do this for the rest of my life!!
